Zillah School District No. 205 Calendar 2026-2027

Zillah School District organizes a compact Yakima Valley community through four school stages: Hilton Elementary, Zillah Intermediate, Zillah Middle and Zillah High. Students repeatedly move as a local cohort, so school changes bring new teachers and expectations without breaking the townwide Leopard identity. Bilingual registration materials and recorded family presentations help parents follow that progression around work and household schedules.

Zillah High gives students an unusually large college-credit route without requiring them to leave campus. Zillah High makes more than 180 college credits available on campus, and participation can begin in ninth grade. Courses in English, mathematics, music, theater and career fields lead to several levels of recognition, from individual credits and the Washington 45 transfer package to an associate degree completed alongside the high-school diploma. In 2024–25, most Zillah High students earned at least one college credit.

Migrant families also hold a formal place in program decisions. The district’s Migrant Parent Advisory Council participates in assessing student needs and in designing, implementing and evaluating local migrant services. That role goes beyond receiving translated information: parent leaders help shape the system serving mobile agricultural families.

A Zillah student can pass through four familiar local schools, begin building a college transcript early and see family representatives participate in district planning. The town’s compact scale supports continuity, while the high school opens academic routes that reach well beyond the valley.
