124. Moses Lake School District

Irrigated agriculture, aviation and steady population growth have made Moses Lake one of central Washington's larger regional school systems. More than 8,000 students attend twenty schools. Neighborhood elementary campuses feed three middle schools, and most students eventually enter Moses Lake High School. City neighborhoods and the surrounding agricultural area meet inside the same district, bringing multilingual, migrant and frequently mobile families into a broad public-school network.

Moses Lake High provides the main comprehensive route. Advanced courses, arts, athletics and student organizations sit beside pathways in agriculture, engineering, health care, business, manufacturing and technology. Farms, food processing, flight operations and industrial employers are close enough that career exploration can connect with the economy students see around them.

Multilingual and migrant support helps families take part in the full school system. Staff help families communicate across languages, maintain records and services during periods of mobility, and keep students connected when agricultural work or household changes interrupt continuity.

Vanguard Academy offers a smaller project-based high-school environment, while Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center serves Moses Lake students and peers from surrounding districts. Its concentrated programs include automotive technology, construction, cosmetology, culinary arts, criminal justice, firefighting, flight, health occupations, game programming and welding. Moses Lake can support a comprehensive high school, a project-centered alternative and a regional technical center as connected parts of one district, each serving a different student need.
