Nespelem School District No. 14 Calendar 2026-2027

Nespelem now carries students locally through high school on the Colville Reservation. Separate elementary and secondary schedules organize the school day, while eighth-grade promotion and high-school graduation remain distinct milestones. Current choice-in procedures also cover K–12 applicants from neighboring communities, extending the Eagle school community beyond the immediate district boundary.

The district reports that about 98 percent of its students are American Indian. Its Indian Policies and Procedures require continuing consultation with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and parents of Indian children about programs, participation and future changes. Native, migrant and bilingual services support students and invite family input, while summer meals travel to households around the Colville Agency, Nespelem, HUD areas, Gold Lake Road and both directions of Highway 155.

The high-school route is operating while upper-grade facilities and staffing continue to expand. In June 2026, the district reported that a new career and technical education facility was nearing a ribbon-cutting ceremony, construction on a safety foyer had begun and recruitment was underway for a secondary science teacher for 2026–27. Those projects deepen an existing K–12 system; they do not mark a high school that is still waiting for approval.
