Kiona-Benton City School District Calendar 2026-2027

Benton City’s orchards and vineyards sit close to all three of Ki-Be’s main schools. The district’s main school route is compact: children begin in the district’s early-learning and elementary programs, continue to Kiona-Benton City Middle School, and finish at Kiona-Benton City High School. The elementary and middle grades are gathered on the Horne Drive campus, with the high school nearby. Students can move from their first district classroom to graduation within one recognizable local school community.

Agriculture gives the secondary program much of its local character. Agricultural biology connects laboratory science with farming and natural-resource questions. Horticulture students use the greenhouse and school vineyard, while welding and agricultural mechanics turn shop work into practical fabrication and equipment skills. FFA extends those courses through leadership, projects and competition. The program reflects the orchards, vineyards and farm businesses surrounding Benton City without limiting students to a single career direction.

Ki-Be also serves many multilingual and migrant families, so bilingual communication, English-language development and migrant education are part of the district’s everyday support system. Older students can widen a small high school’s course menu through College in the High School, Running Start and regional technical programs such as Tri-Tech. The district combines a close local progression with partnerships that carry students into college credit, specialized training and work beyond the valley.
