Centralia School District Calendar 2026-2027

Centralia’s schools belong to a Lewis County regional center shaped by established city neighborhoods, Fords Prairie, nearby employers and Centralia College. Five elementary schools keep students through sixth grade. The districtwide cohort then meets at Centralia Middle School for seventh and eighth grade before entering Centralia High School. That later transition lets elementary communities remain intact longer and makes the middle school a short, intensive bridge into high school.

A common college-and-career language runs across the grades. Elementary schools use the No Excuses framework, while AVID continues the emphasis on organization, academic habits and postsecondary planning. Centralia High offers career pathways and student organizations in agriculture, business, family and consumer sciences, health, metals, construction, media and apprenticeships. The nearby college expands access to dual credit and technical study without requiring students to leave the community entirely.

Arts, athletics and public events make the high school a civic gathering place, and Futurus High School provides a smaller setting when students need greater flexibility. Most families still share the K–6, 7–8 and 9–12 route. By graduation, that route has connected neighborhood schools with a citywide peer group, local college resources and employers across Lewis County.
