Wishkah Valley School District Calendar 2026-2027

Three school-bus routes explain the geography of Wishkah Valley School District. One follows East Hoquiam Road, another serves Lower Wishkah and Aberdeen Gardens, and a third reaches Upper Wishkah and the Hoquiam-Wishkah cutoff. They converge at one school twelve miles north of Aberdeen, where students can remain from kindergarten through high-school graduation.

Inside the building, the district uses a full set of elementary classroom teachers and subject teachers for grades seven through twelve. Music and band cross the K–12 span, while secondary students can study digital communications, woodshop and welding. Washington-grown fruit, vegetables, beef and pork also enter meals through farm-to-school purchasing, giving students a practical connection to where food comes from.

A single campus makes participation unusually accessible. The district fields junior-high and high-school teams in football, volleyball, basketball, baseball and fastpitch, along with cheerleading and powerlifting, and it emphasizes that students have opportunities to join activities regardless of a small enrollment base. Children from the three road corridors arrive with different bus journeys, then share teachers, performances, athletics and graduation in one Wishkah community. Distance shapes the morning; the school brings the valley together for the rest of the day.
