Naselle-Grays River Valley School District Calendar 2026-2027

Naselle-Grays River Valley School District draws students from Naselle, the Grays River Valley and scattered rural roads to one K–12 school community on State Route 4. Heavy rain and localized flooding can affect routes differently, making transportation and weather practical parts of family life. Once students arrive, elementary children and teenagers remain visible to one another through concerts, athletics, assemblies and community events.

Scale makes student work public. Older students often present projects to younger classmates or local residents, and the same gym or stage can host a concert, competition and community gathering in close succession. Academic expectations change when students enter credits and graduation planning, but the school remains the familiar center reached by the valley's roads and waterways.

Effective December 1, 2025, classes taught by a newly certified career and technical education teacher in grades seven through nine received formal CTE approval. That change expanded hands-on study connected to natural resources, aquaculture and forestry. A remodeled woodshop, along with STEM, biology, journalism, drama and music, gives a small staff several ways to organize learning through making, investigation, writing and performance.
