Mukilteo School District Calendar 2026-2027

More than one hundred home languages are spoken by families in Mukilteo School District. The system serves Mukilteo, parts of Everett and neighborhoods around Paine Field, where immigration, aerospace employment and frequent household moves shape everyday classroom life. Neighborhood elementary and middle schools feed Kamiak or Mariner High School, two comprehensive campuses with distinct communities and shared district resources.

Music, visual art and theater remain visible from the elementary years through high school. Students can develop an interest across several stages before joining advanced ensembles, productions or studio courses. Advanced Placement, dual-credit classes taught on campus and Running Start add several routes into college-level study.

Career pathways reflect the surrounding economy. Aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, health care, information technology and skilled trades connect naturally with regional employers. Sno-Isle TECH, operated by the district as a regional skills center, gives juniors and seniors access to more than twenty concentrated programs, industry credentials, externships and apprenticeship connections.

Language learning also begins early. Horizon Elementary's Spanish-English dual-language program expands for 2026–27 through second grade, following a 90:10 model that builds Spanish literacy first and adds more English over time. ACES Big Picture High School provides a smaller project- and internship-centered option. Mukilteo's districtwide character comes from many home languages, sustained arts education and an aerospace corridor that makes technical preparation part of ordinary career planning.
