La Center School District Calendar 2026-2027

For most La Center children, the district route has three familiar stops as the community grows north of Vancouver. Students move from La Center Elementary School to La Center Middle School and then La Center High School. These stages give families a clear neighborhood progression, and the district’s size allows music, athletics, clubs and community events to connect students across grade levels. Growth has expanded the school system, yet La Center still revolves around a relatively concentrated set of campuses and one comprehensive high school.

At the high school, career and technical education adds practical routes in areas such as engineering, computer science, business, health, construction and design. Several courses can carry college credit, allowing students to build a transcript through work completed during the regular school day. These pathways operate inside the comprehensive high school alongside college-preparatory classes and extracurricular programs.

La Center Academy creates a different daily arrangement for grades three through twelve. Families direct much of the learning at home under a written public-school plan, while certificated teachers provide instruction, monitoring and support. Secondary students may combine Academy enrollment with selected middle- or high-school classes when their schedule meets program requirements. The Academy expands the district beyond a single bell schedule, but it remains connected to La Center through teacher oversight, district records and access to campus opportunities.
