Colton School District Calendar 2026-2027

One Union Street campus carries Colton children from the first school years through graduation. Elementary, middle and high-school students remain continually visible to one another, so younger children encounter performances, teams and senior traditions as part of their own future. Grade changes bring new teachers, subject schedules and credits without breaking the connection to the same small Palouse school community.

Agricultural education gives the secondary program a direct relationship with the farms surrounding Colton. The FFA model combines classroom and laboratory instruction, supervised agricultural experiences and leadership activities. Students raise or exhibit livestock, practice judging and public speaking, complete service and work-based projects, and compete at the Palouse Empire Fair, Spokane Junior Livestock Show and state convention. Arts, athletics and technology share the same compact setting. By keeping a complete K–12 route local, Colton ties childhood, practical learning and community life to one public-school institution and one local diploma.
