Colfax School District Calendar 2026-2027

Wheat farming, county government, small business and regional institutions all meet in Colfax, and the schools reflect that Palouse setting. Agriculture courses and FFA connect students with livestock, crops and leadership; FBLA and FCCLA develop business, family and community skills, while robotics adds engineering and competition. Music begins as a daily commitment in fifth grade, when every student takes choir or band. Junior and senior high ensembles perform across the region, and the annual full-length musical brings elementary, middle and high-school students onto one production with community members helping create costumes and sets.

Jennings Elementary keeps students through sixth grade. The whole district then moves into Colfax’s shared secondary school and remains there from seventh grade to graduation. One campus transition creates long relationships and lets younger adolescents see the academic, artistic and leadership opportunities they can grow into. Within this simple two-school map, student life remains dense: Palouse agriculture, performance, technology, business and community participation continue from the first secondary years through graduation.
