Chimacum School District Calendar 2026-2027

Jefferson County’s farm valleys meet Olympic Peninsula forests and Salish Sea waters around Chimacum. Chimacum Creek Primary and Chimacum Elementary divide the early grades, followed by Chimacum Junior/Senior High School. Families across the district may work in agriculture, construction, health care, marine trades, tourism or the arts, and the schools operate both as local gathering places and as gateways to opportunities spread across the peninsula.

Place-based learning gives the curriculum a strong local texture. Farms, community partners and nearby natural environments enter food, science and environmental work. Chimacum Valley Tech extends that approach through construction trades, culinary arts and food science, health science, financial math, applied science, STEM and business communication. Students can earn industry credentials or college credit while working on skills tied to major Jefferson County employment sectors. Music, athletics and community activities connect students across ages.

The Pi Program provides a home-centered public-school option built from campus classes, independent work and teacher oversight. It sits beside the full-time schools and expands the district’s range. A Chimacum student can remain rooted in one rural school community while using local land, employers and community organizations as part of an education that reaches well beyond the district boundary.
