Central Valley School District Calendar 2027-2028

Central Valley School District stretches from established Spokane Valley neighborhoods to the fast-growing City of Liberty Lake. Central Valley, University and Ridgeline high schools anchor different attendance communities, while their elementary and middle schools give each part of the district a recognizable local identity. By the secondary years, students remain attached to a home campus while gaining access to opportunities supported by a system serving more than fourteen thousand children.

That system is increasingly multilingual. More than fifty home languages are represented, and over five hundred students receive active English-language-development services. The district’s Student and Family Engagement Center supplies food, clothing, diapers, laundry access, internet service and connections to community resources at no cost to families. These supports make school participation possible when housing, household needs or a recent move might otherwise interrupt learning.

The three comprehensive high schools combine distinct traditions with shared academic ambition. A no-cost Associate of Arts pathway began at University High in 2024–25 and expanded to Central Valley and Ridgeline in 2025–26, allowing students to pursue an AA Direct Transfer Agreement degree during the regular day without leaving their high-school community. Career education reaches health care, technology, skilled trades, business and industry credentials, while theater, music, athletics and student leadership give each campus its own public life. A student can prepare for college or technical work through districtwide pathways and still graduate from the high school rooted in that student’s part of Spokane Valley or Liberty Lake.
