Camas School District Calendar 2026-2027

Older Camas neighborhoods, new subdivisions and rural edges now meet inside one fast-growing school system along the Columbia River. Neighborhood elementary schools feed Liberty or Skyridge Middle School and then Camas High School, where athletics, performing arts, clubs and graduation bring the district together. Growth has enlarged the network without erasing the strong identities of individual school communities.

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics are highly visible through magnet study, robotics, research and advanced coursework. Career and technical education adds design, business, health, technology and applied skills, often linked to college credit or regional training. Music, theater and visual arts have an equally public presence; performances regularly draw families from across the district. Cascadia Technical Academy provides specialized training that a single comprehensive high school cannot reproduce in every field.

Odyssey Middle School and Discovery High School form a project-based grades 6–12 sequence for admitted students. Hayes Freedom offers a smaller alternative high-school environment with another learning culture. Their role is to add distinct routes to an already substantial neighborhood system.

Camas families encounter academic ambition in several forms: a laboratory or robotics project, a theater production, a technical course, a comprehensive high-school team or a smaller project-based school. The district’s growth has produced more choices, while creative, technical and college-preparatory work remain equally visible in public-school life.
