Bellevue School District Calendar 2026-2027

Families arrive in Bellevue with educational experiences and home languages from around the world. Dozens of elementary communities move through five middle schools before reaching Bellevue, Interlake, Newport or Sammamish High School. Neighborhood schools remain the everyday anchor inside a large Eastside system shaped by technology, commerce and international migration.

Language learning is unusually visible. Bellevue maintains Spanish and Mandarin immersion, Japanese dual-language study and secondary offerings that include Arabic, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and Spanish. Multilingual services, interpretation, family hubs and community engagement groups help parents participate before English becomes fully comfortable. World-language competency credit and the Seal of Biliteracy allow students to turn language knowledge into formal academic recognition.

Hands-on learning has similar breadth. Career and technical courses let students bake, build robots, repair engines, produce films, work with health science, print three-dimensional models, code and explore sustainable growing systems. They add to the neighborhood network, which remains the main structure used by most families. Bellevue’s scale gives families a local school community and access to specialized work ranging from languages and the arts to engineering, health and emerging technology.
