Clover Park School District Calendar 2026-2027

Clover Park School District serves the City of Lakewood and Joint Base Lewis-McChord through one public system of neighborhood schools, two comprehensive high schools and several districtwide options. Children may begin in a Lakewood residential community or at one of the schools on the military installation, then continue toward Clover Park High School or Lakes High School. The two high schools provide common destinations for a district whose families can experience the same boundary from very different civilian and military settings.

Military mobility shapes ordinary school work. Roughly four thousand district families are military-connected, and more than thirty-five hundred students are associated with federal property for Impact Aid purposes. School staff help children carry records, services and relationships through deployments, reunifications and moves between states or countries. Impact Aid supports teachers, technology, library materials and other resources in a district whose tax base includes substantial federal land.

Language programs create another connection across the city and the base. Carter Lake and Hillside offer Spanish immersion, while Four Heroes uses a two-way Spanish-English model that brings native speakers of both languages into shared classrooms. At the secondary level, comprehensive-school courses, arts, athletics and clubs sit beside International Baccalaureate study at Harrison Preparatory and career learning linked to Clover Park Technical College. During the 2025–26 year, district students used summer intensives to earn credentials in fields including nursing assistance, construction, mechatronics and environmental science. A Clover Park student can move with a military family, learn bilingually, remain in a neighborhood high school and still reach concentrated technical training within the Lakewood community.
