Auburn School District Calendar 2026-2027

Auburn’s school system spans established neighborhoods, fast-growing residential areas, the City of Pacific and communities connected to the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation. Elementary schools feed four middle schools and three comprehensive high schools—Auburn High, Auburn Mountainview and Auburn Riverside—giving most students a residence-based path through a large south King County district. Each high school has its own activity culture, yet students share districtwide access to advanced courses, arts, athletics and career preparation.

More than eighty home languages are represented in Auburn schools. Dual-language and heritage-language study, interpretation and multilingual family services help students keep developing academic English while treating existing language knowledge as an asset. Native American Education works with Muckleshoot families and other eligible students through academic support, cultural learning and family engagement. Virginia Cross Native Education Center gives that relationship a visible home and connects school work with tribal history, identity and community.

Career and technical education begins in the secondary grades and reaches fields such as business, health sciences, engineering, information technology, manufacturing, skilled trades and media. Many sequences carry dual credit or lead toward industry credentials. West Auburn High, Auburn Online and other flexible programs serve students who need a smaller setting, remote coursework or a different graduation plan. By high school, an Auburn student may be building on a neighborhood feeder, a home language, a Muckleshoot community connection, a technical pathway or several of those experiences at once.
