One K–12 school carries public education across the Waterville Plateau. The district teaches a common leadership vocabulary from the early grades through high school through Leader in Me, middle-grade LEAD advisory and secondary work connected to organization, wellness and future planning. Senior projects bring that progression to a public conclusion as students work with advisers and present who they are, how they reached graduation and where they plan to go next.
The school has also been rebuilding the range of experiences available on one campus. For 2025–26, Waterville restored middle- and high-school band, added high-school forensics and introduced robotics and drones in the middle grades. These courses give students new artistic, scientific and technical spaces without requiring travel to another district.
Facility modernization is moving alongside the program changes. A six-million-dollar state grant supports HVAC work, kitchen asbestos removal and upgrades, classroom technology and related improvements. District materials expected major work to begin in spring 2026; the project should be read as an active modernization effort, with completion details dependent on the construction process. Waterville’s campus remains one place, while leadership, courses and the building itself are all being developed for the next stage.
