Sedro-Woolley School District Calendar 2026-2027

Sedro-Woolley School District serves a broad Skagit Valley area that includes Sedro-Woolley, Big Lake, Clear Lake, Lyman, Hamilton and the Samish community. Seven K–6 elementary schools preserve local identities across that geography. Students later come together at one middle school and Sedro-Woolley High School, where classmates from river, foothill and valley communities share a common secondary experience.

The region’s history in timber, farming and skilled trades remains visible in applied learning. High-school students can use career courses on their home campus and attend Northwest Career & Technical Academy for concentrated regional programs. This arrangement lets a student keep a strong connection to the Cubs while using a regional technical program for part of the school day in health care, construction, manufacturing or another field.

State Street High School gives older students a smaller setting when the regular high-school pace or environment does not fit. It sits beside the ordinary K–6-to-middle-to-high progression without replacing it. Sedro-Woolley’s school system is large enough to support several secondary routes, yet families from the district’s six named communities still meet at the same performances, athletics and graduation ceremonies. The merger of those elementary communities is one of the defining experiences of growing up in the district.
