Royal School District Calendar 2026-2027

Royal School District spans about 390 square miles around Royal City and serves roughly 1,700 students from preschool through high school, with transition services continuing for eligible young adults. The regular route uses four successive age centers: Red Rock Elementary for kindergarten through grade three, Royal Intermediate for grades four through six, Royal Middle for grades seven and eight, and Royal High for grades nine through twelve. Whole cohorts change schools together, so each move reshapes the daily schedule while preserving one Knights community.

Language access is built into that progression. The district provides English-language and bilingual support across grades, Royal Middle identifies a bilingual coordinator, and families can ask schools for interpretation, translated information or other assistance. Parent and community participation reaches four campuses, with each age center requiring its own communication and involvement. A multilingual family can keep one district relationship even as children enter new offices, teachers and expectations.

At Royal High, agriculture becomes both coursework and student leadership. FFA work covers agriculture, plant science and career preparation, connecting science, business and technology to the irrigated fields and farm enterprises surrounding Royal City. Agriculture mechanics and animal science add practical study, while GEAR UP and other college-planning support widen the routes available after graduation. Students may begin each day on distant rural roads, then use the local economy as material for projects, leadership and future planning.
