Quincy School District Calendar 2026-2027

Quincy is a place where irrigation canals and server farms belong to the same economy. The district serves a multilingual agricultural community surrounded by orchards, row crops and food processing, while major data centers operated by global technology companies have become another source of employment. Neighborhood elementary schools feed Quincy Middle School and Quincy High School, bringing families from both industries into one secondary community.

The high school has built a direct bridge to the newer economy. Its Data Center Technician certification was the first high-school program of its kind in Washington, preparing students for technical work available close to home. A partnership with Big Bend Community College also allows students to pursue a Direct Transfer Associate degree while remaining enrolled at Quincy High. In the district's recent reporting, hundreds of high-school students were taking courses that could earn college credit.

Agriculture remains equally visible through science, mechanics, business and FFA. Multilingual family communication and migrant support help students stay connected when seasonal employment or household moves affect continuity. A student may understand the community through an orchard, a food-processing plant, a network operations room or all three.

Quincy's course map follows the town's economic change without asking students to choose between an agricultural past and a technical future. The same graduate can leave with college credit, experience in precision agriculture or a certification designed for the data centers glowing at the edge of town.
