Quilcene School District Calendar 2026-2027

Quilcene's main campus carries an entire K–12 school community beside Hood Canal. Elementary students remain through sixth grade, middle school covers grades seven and eight, and the high-school program begins in ninth. The district also receives high-school students from neighboring Brinnon, so teenagers who spent their early years in another small district join Quilcene for courses, activities and graduation.

Forest, shoreline and food production give the local program a strong sense of place. School-garden work can connect science, nutrition and community participation, while outdoor and marine experiences use the Olympic Peninsula environment close to the campus. Older students can reach specialized technical study through regional partnerships when a course requires equipment or staffing beyond a small K–12 school.

P.E.A.R.L. provides a K–8 parent-partnership route. Much of the daily study takes place at home, with district teachers supporting the learning plan, curriculum and progress checks. The program extends Quilcene beyond the students who arrive each morning on local buses, yet it ends before the district's high-school stage.

The campus brings several paths together. A local child can remain from kindergarten through graduation, a Brinnon student may arrive in ninth grade, and a P.E.A.R.L. family can use Quilcene teachers while organizing much of the week at home. By the high-school years, those students can share the same Ranger activities and peninsula community even though their earlier school days looked very different.
