Mount Baker School District Calendar 2026-2027

Three elementary communities give Mount Baker School District its early shape. Children attend Acme, Harmony or Kendall Elementary before coming together at Mount Baker Junior High and Mount Baker Senior High. The boundary reaches across the foothills east of Bellingham, including Deming, Kendall, Maple Falls and the road toward Mount Baker, so long bus routes and winter weather are ordinary parts of family planning.

Mount Baker Student Industries gives the secondary campus a strong working identity. Agriculture mechanics, horticulture, floral design and manufacturing ask students to build, repair, grow, design and sell. Technical quality, customer needs and business decisions become part of the same learning process. FFA, music, athletics and other activities help students from widely separated communities develop a shared Mountaineer identity.

The district also acts as a service hub for a broad rural area. Healthy Baker, operated by Sea Mar at the high-school site, provides scheduled medical care for district students. Family Services connects households with food, housing, health and other community resources, and information is available in several languages, including Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.

Mount Baker Academy provides a flexible public-school route, while dual-credit study and outside technical partnerships widen what high-school students can pursue. The district's portrait rests on the relationship among three local elementary communities, one common secondary center, hands-on industries and practical services that reduce the distance between families and the support they need.
