Kettle Falls School District Calendar 2026-2027

For Kettle Falls Town and Country Days, high-school welding students designed and fabricated a frog-catapult game for local families to use. The project is playful, but it says something serious about the district: technical work is expected to leave the shop, enter community life and give students a public audience for what they can make.

Kettle Falls Elementary carries students through fourth grade, Kettle Falls Middle School begins in fifth, and Kettle Falls High School completes the local path. Forestry, agriculture and skilled work are visible in the curriculum because they remain part of life near the Columbia River, Lake Roosevelt and the surrounding forests. Agricultural and technical learning includes forestry, horticulture, welding, metal and wood shop, digital design, foods and FFA leadership. Freshmen have also cleared brush and improved trails at the Myers Interpretive Center, connecting school service with a local environmental site.

That relationship appears in younger grades as well. Middle-school students created kindness rocks for placement around town during Town and Country Days, and cross-age projects link elementary learning with high-school shops and community activities. Senior exit interviews bring local adults into the final stage of graduation planning. Kettle Falls does not separate school from place: the forest, interpretive center, town festival and local residents repeatedly become audiences, mentors or work sites.
