Concrete School District Calendar 2026-2027

The upper Skagit River ties together Concrete, Cape Horn, Rockport, Marblemount and other communities spread along a long mountain corridor. Buses may need alternate pickup points at the Rockport Post Office, Marblemount Community Center or along Cape Horn when snow or flooding interferes. Transportation knowledge is part of maintaining access to Concrete Elementary and the district’s middle/high-school campus.

A compact secondary staff provides a surprisingly broad program: band and guitar, visual art, financial algebra, information processing, STEM, skilled and technical sciences, family and consumer sciences, careers and independent living. Work-based learning connects older students with employment, while athletics, clubs and community events keep the campus active beyond class time. ECEAP for three- and four-year-olds adds a confirmed early entry point in 2026–27.

Two possible choice programs remain in planning. Concrete Connections Academy has been explored as a parent-partnership route, and Twin Cedars High School as a re-engagement and credit-recovery setting. Neither belongs in the current school count until the district completes the necessary decisions. The operating district already provides a full local path to graduation across difficult geography, with arts, practical learning and student support concentrated in a small river-valley system.
