Clarkston School District Calendar 2026-2027

Clarkston occupies the Washington side of the Lewis-Clark Valley, where the Snake and Clearwater rivers meet and daily life is closely connected to neighboring Lewiston, Idaho. Four elementary schools currently keep students through sixth grade. Lincoln Middle School serves seventh and eighth grades, and Clarkston High School receives the districtwide cohort in ninth grade. Children spend long years in neighborhood elementary communities before entering a compact secondary system shared across the city.

Clarkston High connects applied courses with the two-state regional economy. Agriculture, business, family and consumer sciences, metals, marketing, woods and construction, STEM and Air Force JROTC give students several practical routes. Career activities take students into local manufacturing, aviation, health care, engineering, retail and hospitality workplaces; industry credentials, college credit and apprenticeships provide concrete next steps. A proposed regional skills center remains at the feasibility-study stage and is not yet an operating campus or program.

Two current announcements require different time frames. Sixth grade remains in the elementary schools during 2026–27; the approved move to Lincoln begins in 2027–28 and will create a grades 6–8 middle school. Discovery Virtual School and the Educational Opportunity Center are already operating for students whose needs differ from the ordinary feeder. The present district is defined by established neighborhood elementary communities, a shared secondary destination and career learning shaped by the Lewis-Clark Valley.
